We take great care with waste segregation. In terms of hotel service, we segregate waste, but we also encourage our guests to do so. In each flat there are marked bins for segregation. Our guests appreciate this very much and are happy to segregate their waste. We point this out to you already at check-in and ask you to adhere to these rules. But this is only the beginning of our waste solutions.
We have dispensed with bottled water for guests. We have installed a water treatment plant in the building and encourage Guests to drink 'tap water', which is tasty and healthy in exactly the same way as bottled water from most manufacturers. We have also abandoned disposable small packs of hotel cosmetics in favour of larger prokucts, including refill products. We opted for cosmetics from two Polish companies - manufaktura 4szpaki and Fitomed - so we lower the carbon footprint of the supply chain itself, support Polish companies and get plant-based product quality.
We have also used several water-saving solutions in the building. All taps are equipped with water aeration systems so that guests use less water when bathing or washing their hands. We keep the water in the jacuzzi at the right temperature (among other things by covering the jacuzzi with a heat retaining mat) and change it periodically. Between changes, we purify the water with chlorine and other professional pool products. We use rainwater to water the garden.
We use an eco-friendly laundry service. The bedding we choose in moss, straw or snow prints does not need to be washed at high temperatures, as is the case with classic white hotel bedding. Worldwide, millions of towels are washed in hotels every day. This is such a huge burden on the environment, in terms of water, electricity and detergent consumption, that we find it hard to accept. That is why at Green Deer Premium we ask guests to use their towels for more than 24 hours. We limit the number of chemicals used for cleaning. We use a professional steam cleaner and, if necessary, an ozonator to sanitise without the use of chemicals.
